Since 1932 Max’s Tavern has welcomed Eugene with open arms. Friendly staff, ‘knock your socks off’ drinks, a fleet of beer on tap, and a kitchen crafting your new go-to meals is what makes Max’s a home for many. We have tables full of everyone from 21 years old to years old. So, come in, not only for a drink, but for some good company to match it.

Rumor has it that Max’s served as Simpson’s creator Matt Groening’s inspiration for his animated bar “Moes”
We’re turning 90!
Come in and celebrate our 90th birthday this year! Max’s has been a staple in the community ever since Max Robinson opened the closest bar to campus. At the time, bars could not be within 1000 feet of school property, so he opened it 1,005 ft away.
